The next generation of consoles are almost upon us, so now, which one to choose? What are the strengths and weaknesses of these two machines? What are the new features that separate them from the last generation of consoles?

Luckily we convinced Jess Brohard to come on the show to set us straight.

Growing up in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, Jess had always dreamed of working in the gaming industry – so her job at Curse is a dream come true! She currently serves as an on-camera host and video producer for the company, so she gets to spend all day every day talking about video games and coming up with new ways to share her passion for gaming with the Curse audience.

When you are hiking for 2000 miles, you might think you would be the farthest thing away from technology, but Becky Cohen is here to explain otherwise. A Pacific Coast Trail veteran, she will discuss some different ways that technology can augment your normal pack.

Becky has been working in the social responsibility and renewable energy fields since graduating from the University of Vermont in 2010. Most recently, she was awarded a scholarship from the Flying Ryan Hawks Foundation to hike the Pacific Crest Trail with her partner, Luke Neumann. She hiked the 2,660 mile trail running from Mexico to Canada in just under 5 months and is a recent transplant to the Bay Area.

Join us and Joel Denton this week as we discuss how technology will play a role in healthcare as Affordable Care Act moves into effect.

Joel’s world is a combination of the cutting edge and the traditional. For aptitude, a healthcare software company, he works on some of the most innovative technology in the healthcare space – but in his spare time he enjoys working on more tactile projects in his wood shop.

Before joining aptitude, he was a key technology player at VHA since 1997, where he served for seven years as a consultant and nine as an employee. He was the technology lead on VHA’s first-ever web application, helped found the enterprise architecture team and created the domain models for all the key entities at VHA, including membership, suppliers, products, contracts and pricing.
