Since more than 95% of adults want to remain in their homes as they age, it’s fortunate that there’s recently been an explosion of inexpensive and effective caregiving technologies supporting the aging-in-place movement. The only problem is that many people don’t know it’s out there.
With us this week is Dan Henderson. Dan will describe new approaches that help older Americans age in place, including non-invasive activity and wellness monitoring systems that provide enhanced independence for older adults, peace of mind for their adult children, and increased family communication overall.
Dan Henderson heads up sales and business development at BeClose, a northern Virginia-based eldercare technology company. He also serves on the Fairfax Area Commission for Aging. Dan has been a founder, or early employee, at four startup companies over the past 12 years and brings to the table more than 17 years of experience driving growth in software and technology companies.
He has experience across both venture-backed startups as well as large enterprise organizations. Dan earned his M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a B.A. from Oberlin College.
